Pléiades 1 satellite images

The first satellite of Pleiades constellation, the Pleiades 1A was launched by Airbus Defense & Space in December 2011 and followed by the twin, Pleiades 1B in December 2012. To get the best pictures, Pleiades twins were constructed with the ability to revisit any point on Earth daily, acquire high-resolution stereo imagery and provide orthorectified color data at 0.5-meter resolution. Satellite images are obtained in blue, green, red, and IR bands with 3 meters accuracy. Pleiades satellites were designed with a high agility to accept request of Pleiades images within 6 hours before they are obtained. This is essential in critical situations, when up-to-minute Earth image can assist in rescue activities.
