EOS Data Analytics Is Partnering With Evrosem
EOS Data Analytics (EOSDA), a global AI-powered satellite imagery analytics provider, has partnered with Evrosem, a Ukrainian company specializing in sunflower and corn seed and micronutrient production. Evrosem’s goals are to digitalize and automate agricultural processes in Ukraine and develop their business in other countries — Kazakhstan, Moldova, and Romania — in the long run.
Under the partnership, Evrosem will use satellite imagery-based precision agriculture online platform EOSDA Crop Monitoring for remote sensing, field analysis, and as an additional tool for its current and potential clients.
The difficult situation in Ukrainian agriculture in 2023 also affected seed producers. The southern and eastern regions could not produce the same amount of products as before due to warfare or mined territories . The imported seed volume to Ukraine increased because production companies reduced their sowing areas. However, in 2024, the situation changed fundamentally, and Ukrainian seed producers increased output volumes, were able to meet domestic demand, and increased exports .
Evrosem is a company that grows seeds in Ukraine and buys parent components in Serbia. The company has its own seed laboratory to check the genetic purity and suitability of the products for sowing. Internal processes are based on scientific research, which helps to select the best hybrids and determine the most effective cultivation technology.
Evrosem is digitizing and automating its processes to improve production efficiency. The company will use the functionality of EOSDA Crop Monitoring, as well as its two extensions, Weekly Report and Disease Risk, in communication with existing and potential customers. Thanks to training and platform knowledge testing, Evrosem’s management team got familiar with EOSDA Crop Monitoring and is making plans to use the platform.
We can see how digital technologies are helping to increase efficiency in all business areas today, and agriculture is no exception. Thanks to EOSDA Crop Monitoring, the work of our agronomists on hybridization plots has already become more productive. We respond to changes in the field situation more quickly, and our managers help our customers maximize harvest.
The first step will be to find out which approach works with existing customers to expand cooperation further and offer EOSDA Crop Monitoring as a supporting tool together with Evrosem services and products. The company’s specialists also monitor the test fields using the platform.
Despite a complicated situation in our country, there are Ukrainian companies that not only successfully increase production but also invest a lot of resources in business development, particularly through introducing innovative technologies. Evrosem is among those, and we are happy to be their partner and support them on this journey.
Evrosem plans to expand in the Moldova, Romania, and Kazakhstan markets. Process digitization can only contribute to this development, so EOSDA is happy to support the company in its quest for precision agriculture in other countries and regions.
Partners seek to join forces to achieve food security and agricultural market integrity. The combination of remote and ground monitoring of agricultural processes paves the way for sustainable development of agriculture and seed business in Ukraine and other countries.
