EOS Data Analytics Joins Forces With BM Monitoring

EOS Data Analytics (EOSDA), a global provider of AI-powered satellite imagery analytics, has partnered with BM Monitoring, a Chile-based agritech service provider. This company’s aim is for the agriculture and forestry industries to use cutting-edge technologies and drive continuous improvements and innovation in their fields. Partnered with EOSDA, BM Monitoring plans to expand its operations in the Latin and North American markets.

Under the partnership, BM Monitoring will use EOSDA Crop Monitoring, an online satellite-based precision agriculture platform for field monitoring, to observe and analyze the fields and ensure the company stays aligned with its mission to foster ongoing enhancement in its clients’ crops. As for the company’s ambitions in the forestry sector, EOSDA Forest Monitoring, a woodland management platform addressing issues such as forest fires, deforestation, moisture levels, and disease risks, will be of help.

Latin America is among the titans of world agriculture, and this sector plays a vital role in the economies of many countries in the region. In 2022, Latin American markets exported 16% of the world’s agriculture and food produce . This number grows every year, as the Earth’s population expands. Rapid adaptation to new challenges is what the market needs and companies like BM Monitoring make it their goal to ensure the sustainability of Chile and other countries in the Americas.

The company’s services offer quick adaptation that can be integrated into any scale of project wanting to maximize their investment. BM Monitoring is currently developing a comprehensive plan for the Government of Chile that is targeted at covering 400,000 hectares of fields to concentrate on the national control and monitoring of wheat and corn for the 2024 season, focusing mainly on monitoring the health of crops and field activities and mitigating potential risks. The company is invested in being the tailor-made personal support in their role as EOSDA Crop Monitoring representatives in the region.

The platform will allow BM Monitoring usage of 6 remote sensing indices available in EOSDA Crop Monitoring, including 4 vegetation indices (NDVI, NDRE, MSAVI, RECI) and 1 moisture index (NDMI). The moisture index, weather forecast and historical data, and drought prediction are the key features for successful Chilean agriculture market growth. EOS Data Analytics and BM Monitoring can help farmers and agribusinesses in stabilizing the industry, ensuring its sustainable development.

We reviewed different solutions on the market worldwide, and we believe that EOS Data Analytics has the most appropriate tools for precision farming. Our hope is that EOSDA will help achieve our projected growth, reaching 1 million hectares monitored and analyzed, within the next couple of years, based on our four pillars: sustainability, environment, innovation, and risk management.

From the beginning of communication, it became clear that the BM Monitoring team takes the existing agricultural problems seriously and sets ambitious goals for itself in Chile and the region in general. Together, EOSDA and BM Monitoring can meet all the farmer’s needs and contribute to the sustainable development of the industry.

BM Monitoring is planning a rapid development, opening offices in Canada, Argentina, Brazil, and the USA, so both partners are looking forward to expanding their operations markets for crop and forest monitoring and carbon sequestration management.

Partners aspire to join efforts in ensuring food security and agriculture and forestry market integrity in the region. This combined approach of remote monitoring and on-land operations lays a path to a positive resolution of Latin and North America’s agriculture development predicament.
