Summit Agro Chile Partners With EOS Data Analytics

A global AI-powered satellite imagery analytics provider, EOS Data Analytics (EOSDA), has partnered with Summit Agro Chile, which distributes crop protection products and other inputs. Highlighting its dedication to environmental sustainability, Summit Agro has formed partnerships to promote eco-friendly solutions.

One of those partnerships is with EOSDA. It will allow the company to visualize in detail the evolution of crops and their behavior in connection with the climatic conditions of the environment. Summit Agro Chile will use satellite imagery-based precision agriculture online platform EOSDA Crop Monitoring for remote field management, utilizing various indices and other analytical tools.

The Chilean agriculture market is expected to grow as its GDP will rise 2.0 to 3.0% in 2025 . The more food is produced, the more farmers need to cover their crops in inputs to protect them from diverse stress conditions. Companies like Summit Agro Chile grab the comet by its tail to both sell more of their products and try to do it sustainably. As in chasing higher yields, crop producers mustn’t forget to sustain the soil’s health.

Truly an international brand, Summit Agro Chile established Summit Agro International with subsidiaries in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru. It also has corporations in Australia, Brazil, South Africa, and Spain, as well as direct subsidiaries globally. The company currently manages 370,000 ha of fruit trees and 500,000 ha of extensive crops, ensuring the crops are safe with their products applied. Thanks to Summit Agro’s collaboration with EOS Data Analytics, the company can now visualize vegetative changes within the area of interest under study, showcase the evolution of crops and their behavior in connection with environmental and climatic conditions, and provide an easy-to-use tool for managing agricultural work in different crops and fruit trees.

Summit Agro plans to utilize vegetation indices and other functionalities of EOSDA Crop Monitoring and engage in frequent conversations with EOSDA for technical and commercial development to get the most out of the platform.

EOSDA Crop Monitoring has great potential for use in agriculture. It’s an excellent tool for understanding the response of crops to different problems. It eases our clients’ field management and allows them to optimize the time spent on administrative tasks.

Summit Agro Chile already has ideas on how to strengthen the platform and grow its influence in Chile, adapting it to local conditions. The company plans to show users the benefits of EOSDA Crop Monitoring compared to the wide variety of alternatives currently available.

The Chilean market interests us, and we would like to bolster our presence there. Partners like Summit Agro Chile provide us with the platform to do that and also highlight the local peculiarities so that we can develop and adjust our products accordingly.

For now, Summit Agro wants to integrate EOSDA’s solution in Chile only. However, the plans are quite grand there. The company intends to sell the platform to as many users as possible, showing them success stories of EOS Data Analytics’s clients in various regions. This partnership will become a true collaboration where each party brings each other up to new heights of success.
