LandViewer allows non–expert users to select a geographic area for analysis, an earth observation data types, and then apply their choice of on–the–fly imagery analytics

The Normalized Differential Vegetation Index is often used to monitor drought, monitor and predict agricultural production, assist in predicting hazardous fire zones, and map desert encroachment. The NDVI is a standardized vegetation index which allows us to generate an image showing the relative biomass. The chlorophyll absorption in Red band and relatively high reflectance of vegetation in Near Infrared band (NIR) are using for calculating NDVI.
The Soil-Adjusted Vegetation Index SAVI vegetation index is a vegetation index that attempts to minimize the influence of soil luminance using a soil luminance correction factor. It is often used in desert areas where vegetative coverage is negligible
ARVI this index is an improved NDVI, used to correct the influence of the atmosphere. It is most useful in regions with a high content of atmospheric aerosol, including tropical areas polluted with soot. Users use in conjunction with NDVI
The enhanced vegetation index EVI is an 'optimized' vegetation index designed to enhance the vegetation signal with improved sensitivity in high biomass regions and improved vegetation monitoring through a de-coupling of the canopybackground signal and a reduction in atmosphere influences
The Standardized Burning Index NBR uses the NIR and SWIR channels to highlight the burned areas, while muffling the difference in lighting and atmospheric conditions. Before using this index, your images should be corrected for reflection values

Examples of using LandViewer:

1. Find and save your area of interest

Save your time - use the search on location or coordinates to move to the objects you are interested in. Draw AOI and save it in your list My AOI. Now, it takes you only 2 clicks in the LV menu to move to the needed area.

2. Detect, monitor, and assess the spread and impact of wildfires

Satellite data makes it possible to react promptly on different natural disasters and help to take emergency actions to minimize the consequences. Use Color Infrared or NBR Band combination for burnt areas detection and damage evaluation.

3. Analyze health and detect anomalies

You can detect changes of greeneries using vegetation indices and direct comparison of data for different periods in Slider. An archive of satellite images since 1982 allows tracking global tendencies of deforestation to evaluate the risk zones management.

4. Manage zones for simplify daily works

Receive important metrics about the environment condition and segment the area you are interested in on separated parts to make analysis easier. You can also use clustering as a base for further classification of vegetation types or lands cover types.

5. Automatically detect building, roads and other urban objects

Do you want to use specific indices for data analysis? Use the Custom Band Combination tool. You can see an example of GEMI index use in the picture. This index is more sustainable to atmospheric phenomena, but unlike popular vegetation indices, it requires additional knowledge for results interpretation.
